Hatfield Continues Strong GT Cup Form

Adam Hatfield and Chris Murphy continued there GT Cup championship attack in the Whitebridge AMR Prepared Aston Martin Vantage GT4 car at Oulton Park on the 14th of July. With all races on the one day rather than the usual two days, it was set to be a busy day, into qualifying Adam immediately hit the ground running putting the Vantage GT4 car on Pole Position.

"This was probably the toughest Qualifying of the year for us, the Marlin Hawk Racing guys pushed all the way, I really had to dig deep and get this lap out of the bag, but to come away with pole Im very pleased"

Adam Then went on to convert this pole position start into a race victory in the 25 minute sprint race.

The 50 minute endurance race would see Chris Murphy start the race, Chris put a solid stint in to hand the car over to Adam in 2nd place, Adam then went off in pursuit of the JMH ran Ginetta G55 GT4 but however the gap was just too much.

"We tried our best in the 50 minute endurance race, it was always going to be a challenge to catch the lead with the larger of the pitstop success penalties, so to at least get 2nd place is a good result and good points, also means we will have less of a success penalty going into the next round"

The next round of GT Cup returns to Snetterton on the 11th and 12th of August.
