Hatfield takes double win at Home Circuit

Adam Hatfield took to his home circuit of Snetterton for the latest rounds of the GT Cup Championship, finally back in the Aston Martin Vantage GT4. On the Saturday Adam took his third pole position of the season in fine style and followed it up with victory in race 1 of the weekend even after a drive through penalty from a jump start, Adam had this to say about Saturdays on track action...

" Qualifying went really well, I did exactly what I needed to do, its great to be back in the Aston Martin Vantage after two rounds away from the car, and once again I feel very at home in the car even after a spell away. The start of the racing certainly was eventful, unfortunately I jumped the start which then led to a drive through penalty, however we got lucky and inherited the win back, but i will take them how they come "

Chris Murphy followed up Adams race 1 victory with a 3rd place finish in the second sprint race of the weekend on Saturday afternoon.

On the Sunday the Whitebridge AMR Vantage GT4 took another pole position in the class, and followed up with a lights to flag victory in the 50 minute Endurance race. Adam had this to say about Sundays Race...

" I think this was one of my best performances of the season for sure, we took the race win in such fine style today, started with pole position and then won from lights out to flag, and also bagged fastest lap in the process, the clean sweep! This has certainly done our championship bid the world of good, and I look forward to getting back out at Oulton Park in a couple of weeks "

The next rounds of the GT Cup will be at Oulton Park on the 14th July.
