Hatfields Podium Run Halted after Dunlop Endurance DNF at Oulton Park

Adam Hatfield continued his Dunlop Endurance Championship campaign at Oulton Park on the 23rd of June. After the rain soaked Silverstone Victory Adam was keen to keep the good momentum rolling. Good start to the weekend qualifying 3rd in the GT4 class which the number 285 Ginetta then went onto convert into a podium position. Adam had this too say about Race 1...

" Race 1 at Oulton Park was good, its great to keep this momentum of another class podium rolling! My pace was good unfortunately due to the narrow circuit at Oulton Park got a little boxed in at the start and that just put us on the back foot from there and halted any progress to go forward. However 3rd place is still a good result! "

Race 2 saw Darron Lewis start in the 285 Ginetta making good progress only for the car to retire halfway into his stint with a suspected drive shaft failure. Adam had this too say about race 2.

" Race 2 was a big disappointment to not even get in the car is a real shame, especially after the good start that Darron made! Unfortunately this is just part of racing and we just need to lift ourselves up and move onto the next race "

The next round of the Dunlop Endurance Championship will be at Donington Park on the 21st of July.
